Shopify support inside Gmail, with the optional CaseKit extension
Most Shopify merchants answer support in Gmail and keep a second tab open on Shopify all day. The CaseKit extension closes that tab: it reads the conversation you have open, resolves the Shopify order behind it, and puts the reply in the composer. Same replies as the admin app, without the paste.
Free plan: unlimited order lookups and 25 replies a month.
What "integration" actually means here
Two systems, joined at the only place it matters: the conversation you are answering right now.
Gmail stays the workspace
No new inbox, no ticket import, no forwarding rules. Your team keeps the threading, search, labels and signatures they already use.
Shopify stays the source of truth
Order state, fulfillment and tracking come from your store, read-only. CaseKit reports what Shopify says and nothing more.
The join happens per conversation
CaseKit resolves one order for the one thread you have open, then gets out of the way.
The order context sits beside the email, not in another tab
Customer name, order number, order date, item count and value, fulfillment state, carrier and tracking. Everything you would have opened Shopify to check.
- Resolved from the order reference or the sender's email address
- Fulfillment rail showing exactly where the shipment is
- Carrier and tracking number, with a link when Shopify has one
- A recommended reply already written against that state
Built around how Gmail support actually goes wrong
"They didn't give an order number"
Most customers don't. CaseKit matches the sender's email address to a Shopify customer and surfaces their recent orders, ranked, so you pick rather than search.
"I pasted the wrong tracking number"
The tracking number in the reply comes from the resolved order, not from your clipboard. There is no copy step to get wrong.
"The macro said shipped, the order wasn't"
The reply is selected from the current fulfillment state. A still-processing order cannot receive an in-transit reply.
"Every agent answers differently"
On Pro, shared macros and a store tone setting mean the same scenario produces the same shape of answer across the team.
Watch it run inside a real Gmail thread
One customer email, from open to sent, without a second tab.
The full workflow, from customer email to inserted reply.
What CaseKit can and cannot do in Gmail
A lot of tools in this category are vaguer than they should be about this.
| Behaviour | CaseKit today |
|---|---|
| Read the conversation currently open | Yes |
| Read your other threads or your mailbox | No |
| Request Gmail API restricted scopes | No |
| Insert a draft into the Gmail composer | Yes |
| Send an email on your behalf | No |
| Read Shopify order, customer and fulfillment data | Yes, read-only |
| Refund, cancel, edit or fulfill an order | No |
| Work in Outlook, Gorgias or Zendesk | Not today — on the roadmap |

Add Shopify context to the inbox you already use
Install the extension, connect your store, and open the next customer email. Nothing else changes.
